פיקדון
במידה ולא נרכשה האופציה להפחתת ההשתתפות העצמית או חבילת "הכל כלול", הפיקדון יהיה 7,500 $AU אשר יחוייבו בפועל מכרטיס האשראי. הפיקדון הוא חובה לא משנה אם השוכר רכב ביטוח נסיעות אישי.
תשלום הפיקדון יתבצע בכרטיס אשראי בלבד. הסכם יחוייב מיידית. בעל הכרטיס חייב להיות נוכח בעת קבלת הקרוואן. בעל הכרטיס יהיה אחראי על כל נזק שייגרם לקרוואן.
תשלומי הפיקדון אשר יחויבו בכרטיס האשראי יחויבו בנוסף בעמלת כרטיס אשראי בסך 1.7% לכרטיסי ויזה ומסטרכרד או 2.8% לכרטיסי אמריקן אקספרס. גובה העמלה נתון לשינוי.
הפיקדון יוחזר בסיום ההשכרה במידה והקרוואן הוחזר בזמן, לתחנת ההשכרה הנכונה, ללא נזקים, נקי מבפנים, ומלא דלק וגז.
החברה ממליצה להשתמש בויזה או מאסטרקארד לתשלום הפיקדון מכיוון שדמי מנהלה שחלים בעת התשלום לא יוחזרו כאשר הכרטיס הוא אמריקן אקספרס.
תקופת ההשכרה
• תקופת ההשכרה המינימלית היא 5 ימים למעט ההחרגות הרשומות למטה.
• תקופת ההשכרה המינימלית להשכרות לכיוון אחד משתנה בהתאם ליעדים. נא לעיין בטבלה בהמשך.
• תקופות המינימום להשכרה יכולות להשתנות מעת לעת.
• ימי ההשכרה מחושבים על בסיס יום קלנדרי. יום ההשכרה הראשון הוא יום קבלת הקרוואן והיום האחרון הוא יום ההחזרה.
• כשתקופת ההשכרה מתפרסת על יותר מעונה אחת המחיר הסופי יחושב ע"פ שתי העונות.
• קבלה מאוחרת או החזרה מוקדמת אינה מזכה בהחזר כספי. אין החזר כספי על ימים לא מנוצלים.
• מינימום 20 ימים חל על השכרות כיוון אחד המסתיימות בדרווין, ברום או אליס ספרינגס בין 15 באוגוסט ל-30 בנובמבר 2020 (למעט השכרות המתחילות במקומות אלו).
• מינימום 20 ימים חל על השכרות כיוון אחד היוצאות מדרווין, ברום או אליס ספרינגס בין 1 באפריל ל-15 ביולי 2020 (למעט השכרות המסתיימות במקומות אלו).
• מינימום 7 ימים חל על קרוואנים ל-4 או 6 נפשות עם שירותים ומקלחת היוצאים מסידני במהלך מירוצי בסורסט (Bathurst) בין ה-6 ל-11 באוקטובר 2020.
• מינימום 20 ימים חל על השכרות כיוון אחד לקרוואנים 2/3 עם שירותים ומקלחת המסתיימות בקרנס בין 20 במרץ ל-1 בספטמבר 2020.
• מינימום 10 ימים חל על השכרות הכוללות את התאריכים 20 בדצמבר עד 10 בינואר.
• מינימום 7 ימים חל על קרוואנים ל-4 או 6 נפשות בבריזבן בין 21 ל-27 ביולי 2020 עקב פסטיבל מוזיקה.
• במידה והשוכר רוצה להאריך את משך ההשכרה תוך כדי ההשכרה, עליו לקבל אישור מחברת ההשכרה (1300-363-080) ולשלם מעל כך מיידית. האישור יינתן בהתאם לזמינות הקרוואנים. במידה ולא התקבל אישור - כל יום נוסף יעלה 150 $AU בנוסף למחיר יום ההשכרה.
השכרות כיוון אחד - מינימום ימים
השכרות מצטברות
באם לשוכר הזמנה נוספת באותה חברה, ניתן לאחדן ולקבל עבורן הנחת "השכרה ממושכת". פרטים נוספים ינתנו בהתאם לצורך.
היטל לתחנת ברום
קרוואנים הנאספים או מוחזרים בתחנת ברום יחוייבו בתשלום נוסף בסך 750 $AU. איסוף והחזרה באותה עיר יחויב רק פעם אחת.
אגרת שדה תעופה
קרוואנים הנאספים בתחנת הוברט יחויבו ב-100 $AU אגרת שדה תעופה.
שעות פעילות הסניפים
הסניפים פתוחים 7 ימים בשבוע למעט ב-2 באפריל, 25 בדצמבר, 1 בינואר וב-26 בינואר.
לקוחות הלוקחים או מחזירים קרוואן מתבקשים להגיע לסניף עד השעה 15:30.

הגבלות בנסיעה
קרוואן ניתן להסיע בדרכים רשמיות, דרכי אספלט או כבישים מתוחזקים בלבד. יוצא מן הכלל הם דרכי גישה לחניונים או אטרקציות תיירותיות גדולות המתוחזקות היטב ולמרחק שלא יעלה על 12 קילומטרים.
חברת ההשכרה שומרת לעצמה את הזכות להגביל תנועת רכבים באזורים מסויימים לאור מצב הדרכים ומגבלות מזג אוויר.
במידה והשוכר הפר מגבלות אלה ונסע על דרכים לא סלולות או איזורים אסורים, החברה יכולה להטיל קנס של AU$300 עבור כל הפרה.
רישיון נהיגה וגיל הנהג
בעת ההשכרה יש להציג רישיון נהיגה מקורי ממדינת האזרחות. באם רישיון הנהיגה אינו בשפה האנגלית יש להציג רישיון נהיגה בינ"ל בנוסף. הגיל המינימלי להשכרה ולנהיגה בקרוואן הינו 21 שנים.
הסעות
הלקוחות צריכים להגיע לתחנת ההשכרה וממנה בכוחות עצמם ועל חשבונם.
דמי הפרות ועבירות תנועה
החברה שומרת לעצמה את הזכות לחייב את השוכר על כל דו"ח חניה, כביש אגרה, מהירות או כל עבירה אחרת, הוצאות מנהליות ו/או טיפול בתביעות ביטוח עקב תאונות דרכים כולל נזק לצד שלישי שאינן מדווחות עם החזרת הקרוואן. עבור הוצאות הטיפול ייגבה סכום בסך AU$60.
במידה והנהג עולה על מהירות של 110 קמ"ש או מעל המהירות המותרת ע"פ התמרורים המקומיים ומתעלם מהאזהרות של המערכת המותקנת בקרוואן, החברה רשאית להטיל עליו קנס של AU$300..
שינוי יעד החזרה
שינוי יעד הסיום לאחר ביצוע ההזמנה אפשרי רק לאחר קבלת אישור מרכז ההזמנות וכרוך בעלות של 750 $AU.
החלפת רכב
באם הקרוואן שהוזמן לא יהיה זמין מסיבות לא-צפויות, החברה שומרת לעצמה את הזכות לספק רכב חלופי ללא הודעה מוקדמת וללא חיוב נוסף. דבר זה לא ייחשב כהפרת ההסכם ואינו מזכה את השוכר בהחזר.
קטגוריית רכב
השכרת כל סוגי הרכבים היא עפ"י קטגוריות בלבד. לא ניתן לשכור קרוואן עפ"י תוצרת או מודל ספציפי.
הורדת דרגת רכב
באם השוכר מחליט לקחת רכב בדרגה נמוכה מזו שהוזמנה, הוא אינו זכאי להחזרים.
הערה חשובה
החברה שומרת לעצמה את הזכות לסרב להשכרה עפ"י שיקול דעתה.
שירותי דרך
על כל בעיה בקרוואן יש לדווח מיידית או תוך 24 שעות לחברת ההשכרה. באם לא תדווח התקלה מיידית לא תושת אחריות על החברה והיא לא תחויב במתן פיצוי.

תשלום בכרטיסי אשראי וחיוב
רק כרטיס האשראי והחיוב של השוכר בעצמו יכול לשמש לצורך הפיקדון ובעל הכרטיס חייב להיות נוכח בעת קבלת הקרוואן.
תשלומים שישולמו בכרטיסי חיוב ואשראי יחויבו בנוסף בעמלת כרטיס אשראי בסך 1.7% לכרטיסי ויזה ומסטרכרד, או 2.8% לכרטיסי אמריקן אקספרס.
עמלת כרטיסי אשראי חלה גם על הפקדת הפיקדון.
כרטיסי אשראי
השוכר מאשר לחברת ההשכרה לשמור את פרטי כרטיס האשראי ולחייב את הכרטיס בהתאם לתנאי ההסכם. חיובים אלה כוללים ניקיון של הקרוואן (כולל שירותים ומיכלי המים), דו"וחות מהירות, אגרות כבישים, עבירות תנועה או חנייה, החזרה מאוחרת, מילוי דלק או גז, הארכת השכרה וכו'. מטעמי אבטחה, רק כרטיסים מסוג ויזה, מאסטרקארד או אמריקן אקספרס יתקבלו לצורך תשלום הפיקדון.
שערי חליפין בין מטבעות
חיוב בכרטיסי אשראי ייעשה ב- $ אוסטרלי. במקרה של החזר כספי, חברת ההשכרה תחזיר את הכסף במלואו. החברה אינה אחראית לכל שינוי בסכום בעקבות שינויי מטבעות, שערי המרה וכו'.
טעויות חישוב
במידה ויהיו טעויות חישוב החברה תחייב את ההפרשים.
תנאי שינוי
כל שינוי בהזמנה תלוי בזמינות הקרוואנים או החבילות השונות. יתכנו שינויים במחירים בעקבות שינויים בהזמנה.
שינויים שייעשו לפני קבלת הקרוואן יחושבו מחדש לפי התעריף בעת השינוי. הדבר רלוונטי לשינויים בשם השוכר, סוג הקרוואן, הורדת מספר ימי ההשכרה, תאריך קבלת הקרוואן, מקום קבלת או החזרת הקרוואן. במידה והשינוי נעשה לפני קבלת הקרוואן והוא בקשה להארכת תקופת ההשכרה (הימים הנוספים יהיו בסיום ההשכרה ללא שינוי בתאריך קבלת הקרוואן) המחיר יהיה בהתאם למועד ההזמנה המקורית.
הסתייגויות
איורים וכתבים בחוברות החברה או באתר האינטרנט הנם ייצוג יחסי לקרוואנים המתוארים. שונות הקרוואנים המוצעים להשכרה עלולה לקרות לאור תחלופת צי הקרוואנים או שדרוגם או עיצוב שונה ע"י היצרן.
התנאים והמחירים שהוזכרו לעיל אינם תקפים במקרה של השכרה של 5 קרוואנים המטיילים ביחד. במקרה כזה, נא ליצור קשר לפרטים נוספים.

INCLUSIVE PACK
The Maui Inclusive Pack is AU$58 per day (maximum AU$2,900 per rental) and is payable in addition to the daily rental rate.
The Inclusive Pack component is commissionable along with the vehicle component of the rental.

• Baby / Booster seat - on request (cannot be fitted in some vehicle categories)

LIABILITY DEPOSIT
If the Liability Reduction Option or the maui Inclusive Pack is not taken, the customer must pay the Liability Deposit. The Liability Deposit is AU$7,500 and is applicable regardless if the hirer has purchased private travel insurance.
The customer must provide a valid credit card or debit card to pay the Liablity Deposit and the amount will be debited to the customer’s credit card or debit card on the day of vehicle collection. The credit or debit card holder must be present and able to sign for the Liability Deposit upon vehicle collection. The credit or debit card holder is jointly and severally liable for any damage to the rental vehicle. Any type of pre-paid travel card is not acceptable as a means to provide a Liability Deposit.
The Liability Deposit is subject to a 1.7% credit card administration fee in addition to the Liability Deposit amount when the credit card used is either a Visa credit or debit card or MasterCard credit or debit card, or 2.8% when the credit card used is American Express. The credit card administration fees are subject to change.
The Liability Deposit is fully refundable, including the credit card surcharge, if the card used to provide the Liability Deposit is a Visa credit or debit card or MasterCard credit or debit card, provided the Vehicle is returned undamaged. maui recommend that customers use a Visa credit or debit card or MasterCard credit or debit card for the Liability Deposit, as the credit card administration fee that applies when using American Express is not refundable.
Only Visa credit or Visa debit card, MasterCard credit or MasterCard debit card, or American Express credit card are acceptable to use for the purpose of the Liability Deposit.
RENTAL DURATION
• Rental days are charged per calendar day. When calculating the number of days a vehicle is rented, the day of pick-up is counted as day one of the rental. The day of the vehicle’s return is counted as the final day of the rental. Vehicles are required to be collected and returned within business hours.
• When a rental moves from one rate season into the next, the calculation is based on both rates.
• Minimum rental periods are 5 days for the for same city rental, with exceptions noted below.
• 20 Day minimum hire on all O/W rentals IN to ASP, BME & DRW from 15 August - 30 November 2020 excl from DRW, ASP & BME.
• 20 Days minimum hire on all O/W rentals OUT of ASP, BME, DRW from 1 April - 15 July 2020 excl to ASP, BME & DRW 2020 (excl 4wd's).
• 7 Day minimum hire period IN SYD for all 4 & 6 berths TS for Bathurst where travel dates include 6 to 11 October 2020.
• 20 Day minimum hire on all 2/3 TS O/W rentals IN to CNS from 20 March 2020 to 1 September 2020.
• 10 Day minimum hire period for travel dates include 20 December to 10 January.
• 7 Day minimum hire period for Splendour in the Grass Music festival in BNE for all 4/6 berth vehicles (excl 4wd's) between 21 - 27 July 2020.
• Minimum rental periods are subject to change.
• Late pick-up or early return of vehicle does not entitle the hirer to any refund of the unused portion of the rental. No refund will be made if the length of hire is shortened or for unused days.
• If the customer wishes to extend the rental whilst on hire, they must first obtain authorisation from maui (call 1300 363 800). The rental extension is subject to vehicle availability. The cost of an extended rental must be paid by credit card over the telephone on confirmation of the rental extension. The rate charged may not reflect the original rate booked. Failure to obtain authorisation will result in a daily fee of AU$150 in addition to the daily rate.
ONE WAY RENTALS - MINIMUM DAYS
MULTIPLE RENTALS
Should a customer have more than one consecutive rental they can be combined to qualify for longer-term hire discounts off the daily vehicle rate. Details are on application.
RENTALS IN BROOME
An additional remote location fee of AU$750 applies to all rentals picking up or dropping off in Broome. Only one remote location fee is charged per vehicle. This is in addition to the one-way fee if applicable. The fee applies per rental.
HOBART AIRPORT FEE
An airport pick-up fee of AU$100 per hire will apply for hires with pick-up at Hobart airport. This fee is subject to change and new airport charges may arise.
OPERATING HOURS
Maui branches are open 7 days a week with the exception of Good Friday (2 April), Christmas Day (25 December), New Year's Day (1 January) and Australia Day (26 January) when they are closed. Maui branches are closed on Sundays during off peak months. See below for more information.
Maui requests that clients collecting or returning their vehicle to be in the office by 1530 hours.
• Adelaide, Melbourne, Perth, Sydney: 1 May – 31 August branches open from 8am to 4pm and CLOSED Sundays.
Rest of the year Pick up is available from 8:00 AM-4PM.
• Brisbane: 1 October – 28 February branche open from 8am to 4pm and CLOSED Sundays.
Rest of the year Pick up is available from 8:00 AM-4PM.
• Hobart: 1 July to 31 August branche is closed.
Rest of the year Pick up is available from 8:00 AM-4PM.
• Alice Springs, Darwin, Broome: On April and November branches open from 8am to 4pm and CLOSED Sundays.

ROAD RESTRICTIONS
Motorhomes can only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads. The only exceptions to this are wellmaintained access roads of less than twelve kilometres to recognised campgrounds, major tourist attractions and well-maintained, recognised roads on Kangaroo Island (South Australia). Should a customer wish to travel on an unsealed road that is greater than twelve kilometres in length to access a recognised campground special permission can be arranged pending road condition, weather and distance. Please contact your local representative to discuss.
Maui reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions.
Should a customer breach the road restriction rules by taking a vehicle on an unsealed road or restricted road maui may impose a fee on the customer of AU$300 on each occasion that is identified by maui.
LICENCE
A current and full motor vehicle driver’s licence is required and must be produced upon vehicle collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other then English it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the driver’s licence was issued. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit.
AGE RESTRICTIONS
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over.
TRANSFERS
Maui clients will need to make their own way to and from the maui branch, at their own expense.
TOLL AND TRAFFIC NOTICES AND ADMINISTRATION FEES
Maui reserves the right to submit a statutory declaration to the issuing authority and/or charge the Customer for any speeding, toll way, parking or other traffic offence. In addition, Maui reserves the right to charge an administration fee of up to AU$60 for associated administration costs to the Customer’s credit card upon receipt of a charge for any speeding, toll way, parking or other traffic offence incurred by the Customer. This fee will be applicable per offence.
If the Customer continues to exceed a speed of 110km or continues to exceed the posted speed limit, as determined by the Customer repeatedly ignoring the warnings of the telematics system fitted into the Vehicle, Maui may impose a fee on the Customer in the amount of AU$300.
CHANGE OF DROP-OFF DESTINATION
If the customer wishes to change the drop-off destination, they must first obtain authorisation from the Reservations or Scheduling departments.
Subject to the change being approved, an additional charge of up to AU$750 may apply.
CHANGE OF VEHICLE
Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, Maui reserves the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notification and at no extra cost. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the hirer to a refund.
VEHICLE CATEGORY
Vehicles cannot be requested by make or model, only by vehicle category.
VOLUNTARY DOWNGRADE
Should the hirer decide to take a lesser vehicle than booked they will not be entitled to any refund.
IMPORTANT
Maui reserves the right to refuse any rental at its discretion.
CUSTOMER CARE ON-ROAD ASSISTANCE
Any problems associated with the vehicle, including equipment failure, must be reported to Maui as soon as possible and within 24 hours in order to give Maui the opportunity to rectify the problem during the rental. Failure to do so may impact compromise any claims for compensation. Maui does not accept liability for any claims submitted after this period.

CREDIT AND DEBIT CARDS PAYMENTS
The credit or debit card holder will be jointly and severally liable as a customer. Accepted cards are Visa credit or Visa debit card, MasterCard credit or MasterCard debit card and American Express credit card. A non-refundable 1.7% administration fee will apply to all Visa and MasterCard transactions or 2.8% for American Express. Credit card administration fees also apply to the Liability Deposit and only the customer’s credit or debit card is acceptable to use for the purpose of the Liability Deposit and the Credit Card Authority. The credit card administration fees are subject to change.
EXCHANGE RATE / CURRENCY VARIATIONS
All credit and debit card transactions are conducted in Australian dollars. If a refund is due, maui will credit the amount due in full to the Customer's credit or debit card. maui does not accept any liability for credit or debit card fees or bank-imposed fees relating to currency conversion or foreign transactions, which may appear as a variation between the total debited and the total refunded.
CREDIT CARD AUTHORITY
The customer authorises maui to retain the details of their credit or debit card and to take any action to recover from the credit or debit card the amounts due by the customer pursuant to the maui Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions. These charges including, but not limited to, vehicle cleaning (this includes toilet and waste water tank emptying), speeding, toll way, parking or freedom camping fines, on road assistance, delivery and return of vehicle, late drop off fees, failure to return the vehicle with full diesel or petrol tanks or full LPG bottle (pre-paid fuel and pre-paid gas is included in the Express Return Pack), rental extensions or Exclusions. For security purposes, only the customer’s Visa credit or Visa debit card, MasterCard credit or debit card, or American Express credit card can be used for the Credit Card Authority.
BOOKING AMENDMENTS
All amendments to bookings are subject to availability of vehicle and/or package. Different rates may apply based on the amendment made.
Amendments prior to the vehicle collection date will be re-calculated at the flex rate applicable on the date of amendment. This applies to changing the hirer name, vehicle type, reducing the number of rental days, changing pick-up dates and/or changing the pick-up or drop-off location. Where the number of rental days is being extended prior to the vehicle collection date (days are being added on at the end of the rental with no change to the original pick up date), which applied at the time of the original booking, will apply.
